Goodbye Alaska!

It’s been a long time, dear friends, and here is why…

CoCo and Peach are moving!  This will no longer be a blog about two Alaskan girls at the Marty’s Bagel Deli.  The Peach and Coco are off to Puget Sound to become real librarians.  We will be attending the prestigious University of Washington to receive our masters in library and information science.  No big deal.
As it is, the girls are making a big move!  We’ve been packing for months and having goodbye parties and closing accounts and gym memberships and learning the ways of the gypsy.  This is why we haven’t blogged, and we are truly sorry!  Life handed us adventure and opportunity and we were busy making lemonade with Tequila – is that how the idiom goes? No?  Well then there's a new one for you.

So far, we’ve made it!  To Colorado – wait, THAT’S not Washington!  No, it’s okay.  CoCo has never been, and Peach needed to pick up her brand new shiny 1996 Nissan Ultima (first class, all the way).  At first we were going to drive down the Alaska Highway in CoCo’s Subaru with a little trailer dragging behind, but then we were reminded we have connections.  Carlile came round and picked up all our things (including car) like nothing more than a little picnic and set them on a barge headed for Washington.

Peach and CoCo flew to Colorado.  CoCo has a little bit of the dizzies from the altitude, but so far she’s bedazzled by the Rocky Mountains and Peach’s ice cream sundae of a family.  Once we are under way and headed west proper, we’ll share more.  In the meantime, here’s the night we packed our pallets and loaded our worldly belongings to sea voyage without us.
